The studio was designed to maximize flexibility, daylight exposure, connections to nature, and team collaboration. Twelve-foot ceilings and three facades of glass enhance the views of the Capitol Dome, Library of Congress, and Capitol Hill neighborhood. An easily accessible roof deck is the hub for lunch conversations, team meetings, and summer happy hours.
The entry lobby is a gallery space that showcases the work of local artists and sets the tone for our working day. A central axis serves as a circulation spine and a communal library between Moody Graham and our office partners, Teass/Warren Architects. The walls of "Library Street" are lined with white oak bookshelves.
An array of indoor plants provides a greenhouse-like atmosphere that reduces stress, elevates mood, and enhances cognitive performance, fostering a healthier and more productive environment. Custom roof garden planters overflowing with perennials and pots with small trees create layers of green and seasonal variation. A focal indoor water feature introduces "soft fascination" by highlighting the gentle, non-rhythmic movement of light reflecting off water to promote mental regeneration.

The Lunaform water fountain reflects light creating patterns of light reflection on the dropped ceiling. The non-rhythmic movement of light refracting off water provides soft fascination, resulting in mental regeneration.
