Isabella Jimenez

Rooted in her Northern Virginia area upbringing, Isabella is driven by a strong sense of  local stewardship and an ardent appreciation for the region’s authentic character. As a practitioner, this has shaped her belief that design can, and must, contribute positively to its cultural and ecological environments.

Working in residential design-build at the onset of her career, her journey has since spanned continents and scales, from hospitality and master planning in Mexico, the Middle East, and the Caribbean, to multifamily, mixed-use, and public work throughout the East Coast. Her experience with this breadth of projects  has refined her ability to move between broad visioning exercises to focused, detail-oriented solutions grounded in a site’s uniquely local features. At Moody Graham, she brings insights from all of those worlds to the diversity of work touched by the studio. 

An active participant in her community, Isabella remains deeply engaged in professional organizations such as the American Society of Landscape Architects and  the Landscape Architecture Foundation, while also partaking in mentorship opportunities with several university landscape architecture programs. She actively fosters connections among peers and collaborators, contributing her support to those striving to understand and improve the human relationship to the built environment and natural world. Beyond her professional life, she finds joy in long walks, immersing herself in literature, and time spent with her loving family—quiet pursuits that reflect her thoughtful, grounded approach to life and design.
